PlanetSide 2 is a massive multiplayer online shooter set on a variety of planets from around the galaxy. A key component to success in this game is aiming. There are some easy ways to cheat and get better at shooting, but that’s not what we’re here for! Here are a few good tips for making you a more accurate shot: - Step onto an object that provides height, preferably one of the taller buildings scattered around the map. There usually isn't anyone on these tall structures so it's safe to hang out on top and get used to your new vantage point. You can also find little hilltops and rocky outcroppings to use as your focus points. - Try and shoot from a flat angle – i.e. do not laser sight, aim down at where you believe the target will be. If you’re placing walls for cover you’re usually aiming down at the ground, which affects your aim as you're aiming through a tunnel of air. A simple trick is to take your hand away from the mouse and hold it in front of your chest until you’re used to it then place it back on screen for a flat shot. - Look at where you’re aiming and try to be consistent. You won’t always get perfect shots all the time, but you'll get less bad ones. - Have a comfortable wrist movement when shooting. If your hand starts shaking, it's most likely that what's going on in your head is more important than what's happening on screen. Your hand can drift during shooting and that can cause bad hits and misses - you don't want to end up like the "Ivy League" guy (he was an engineer in WWII and had his arm caught in a grenade). Close your eyes and focus on where you’re aiming. - Reduce sensitivity to get used to where the crosshairs are on screen, then gradually increase it again over time until you find the sweet spot that works for you. Take your hand away from the mouse when not shooting. This helps keep your hand in the same position while looking at the screen, therefore improving accuracy. If you can't shoot without crossing under bridges or trees, reduce your ADS sensitivity until your aiming reticle is still over these objects with no problem. - Take advantage of good lighting. If you're having trouble moving the crosshairs around because it's hard to see, grab a flash light and aim in a dark corner until you can see what you're doing. - Practice! And when practicing, find some simple spots to shoot on, such as bricks or wooden planks - these items are highly destructible so try and get used to shooting them. Shooting at things like trees and vehicles is too difficult because they don't always break and can't be shot through. Try and shoot static targets, not moving ones: stationary pillars, small objects on tables etc. cfa1e77820
